GroupFit

GroupFit is a challenge among friends to motivate each other to run/walk/hike or bike the most miles, burn the most calories, OR take the most steps over a predetermined time interval (E.g. Two Weeks)

You can either be invited by a friend to a GroupFit challenge or you can create your own. GroupFit challenges are based on type of activity (run/walk/hike, bike, or steps), the fitness parameter used for each activity (miles/calories), and prize breakdown amongst the top finishers. All of your fitness data logged with Sentiv counts towards any GroupFit you have entered.

Each GroupFit challenge will show a summary of the challenge, an activity feed and a continually updating leaderboard.

On the summary page you will see a description of the challenge highlighting duration of the challenge, activity type, fitness parameter, entry, total prize and prize breakdown.

In the activity feed you can engage in some friendly banter, motivate others to go the distance (pun intended), and even see completed activities as they happen! Click on an activity to like, comment or to view related stats like route, speed and elevation.

Use the leaderboard as motivation to stay in contention seeing how everyone in the challenge stacks up. The little red icon lets you know who is rising in the ranks or trying to extend their lead.

Where activity typs is run/walk/hike or bike, only activities tracked using Sentiv are counted towards your CauseFit challenges. If the activity type is steps, you can get data from your Fitbit, Apple Watch, or Android Wear devices.

Once the challenge has completed, the rewards are dispersed immediately to your Sentiv account. Once the money has been dispersed to your Sentiv account, you can withdraw the cash balance to your PayPal account.
We have worked hard to make sure our app can prevent cheaters from prospering. Sentiv utilizes an advanced algorithm to know if you’re in a car, riding a bike (while pretending to run), flying down a ski slope, and other methods of cheating that might impact the integrity of a GroupFit challenge.

CauseFit

CauseFit is a fundraising challenge that combines fitness with philanthropy, aka Fitlanthropy. The more miles covered, the higher total contribution to the challenge.

You can either be invited by a friend to contribute to a CauseFit challenge or you can create your own. CauseFit challenges are based on type of activity (run/walk/hike, bike, or steps), the type of cause (Personal or Charity), amount of contribution per mile or 1k steps and fundraising goal. All of your fitness data logged with Sentiv counts towards any CauseFit you have entered.

Search and select a charity from our database of over 2 million charities in the United States. If you don’t find a charity that you want to support in our database, you can choose to fundraise for your personal cause and donate it separately. Once your CauseFit fundraising challenge is created, you can invite your friends to contribute and help you complete the challenge to reach your fundraising goal.

Each CauseFit challenge will show a summary of the challenge, an activity feed and a continually updating progress page.

On the summary page you will see a description of the challenge highlighting the duration of the challenge, # of contributors, activity type, cause type, contribution per mile/1k steps and fundraising goal.

In the activity feed you can interact with your contributors to share your story and thank them for their support. They will be able to cheer you on before, during and after each activity as it appears in the feed! They can click on each activity to like, comment or to view related stats like route, speed and elevation.

Use the progress page as motivation to stay on task seeing a list of your supporters and how much they have contributed. Watch the contributions increase towards the goal as you cover each mile or 1k steps and complete the activity.

Where activity typs is run/walk/hike or bike, only activities tracked using Sentiv are counted towards your CauseFit challenges. If the activity type is steps, you can get data from your Fitbit, Apple Watch, or Android Wear devices.

Becoming a Fitlanthropist with CauseFit is easy. You can choose from over 2 million charities that are listed under section 501(c)(3) in the United States or pick a different cause close to you, such as a regional charity, non-profit or others by choosing "Personal Cause".

Sentiv partners with OrgHunter that manages the charity database and the payment transactions. Once you select a charity organization from their database that is listed in the Sentiv app, all the contributions from your donors are directly deposited to the charity selected.

If you end up choosing "Personal Cause" and do not pick a charity from the list then all the contributions from your donors are deposited into your Sentiv account which you can withdraw into your PayPal account and then transfer that donation to the charity of your choice.

Absolutely! You have the option to invite your Facebook, Google+ or email contacts to contribute to your CauseFit challenge. Everyone you invite to your CauseFit can contribute any amount towards your cause based on the miles you log. The more you invite, the more you fundraise so make sure you invite as many as you can.
Each contributor will get a receipt for the amount they donated at the end of the challenge; however, only those charities that are listed under section 501(c)(3) are eligible for tax deductions. If the creator of the CauseFit has selected “Personal Cause” then your contributors will not be able to claim tax deductions on those donations. We request our creators to verify if the charity they selected is listed under section 501(c)(3) and inform their invitees about tax deductions.

Payments

With Sentiv, all transactions are handled by PayPal or Credit/Debit Card. You must have an account with PayPal to withdraw any winnings or donations. You can deposit or withdraw at any time and as often as you want.

Sentiv cannot provide you a refund for any completed CauseFit challenge. You can cancel a CauseFit challenge before completing your goal and all payments will be cancelled at that point. No money will be debited from any user. Further activity tracked with Sentiv after cancellation will not count towards that CauseFit.

For GroupFit, refunds are determined on a case-by-case basis by the creator of the GroupFit challenge. You can request a refund by leaving the GroupFit challenge. The creator decides if a refund is approved, and we do this to make sure it is fair for everyone else in the game. If approved by the creator, the money is returned to you immediately.

All your historical transactions are managed and displayed on the Sentiv app. Sentiv tracks your deposits and redemptions. You will also receive email receipts for every transaction.
For every CauseFit challenge, Sentiv will deduct a 15% 5% fee from each donation that is received. This fee will be deducted from the final donation amount. Donors will never be charged extra on top of their set donation amount. The donor will still receive a receipt for their entire amount donated for which they can potentially claim for tax deduction if the charity is listed under 501(c)(3).

For every GroupFit challenge, Sentiv will deduct a 15% 5% fee from the final prize amount. The rest of the amount will be distributed to the winners. If the challenge has only two members i.e head to head challenge then Sentiv will only charge the 3% credit card processing fee to the final prize and the rest will be distributed to the winner.

Fitness Tracking

Sentiv tracks your activity based on your GPS location and reports back your distance, location, time elapsed and elevation change. The Sentiv app uses Google Maps to track your workouts. You can trust the data tracked on the Google Maps to be accurate when good GPS signal is received. Tracking your outdoor workouts using GPS is far more accurate than using a step counter tracker. If you are participating in a GroupFit or CauseFit then any qualifying activity you track using Sentiv will be counted. For step-based challenges, Sentiv integrates with Fitbit, Apple Health, and GoogleFit and syncs step data from these platforms.
One of the most unique features of Sentiv is the ability to map out a route to plan your workout. Drop up to 25 waypoints on the map to create your workout route. You can also store this route for future activity. Before you start you can obtain important information about the route such as elevation gain/loss and total distance along that route.
Based on many factors including pace, elevation change, location, and accelerometer data, Sentiv logs your activity as either a Run, Walk, Bike or Hike and then counts it towards any of your CauseFit or GroupFit challenges that corresponds to that type of activity.
Yes! Sentiv integrates with FitBit, Apple Watch, and Android Wear. You can participate in step-based GroupFit or CauseFit challenges.
