Rules

GroupFit

Challenge period – The duration of a GroupFit challenge is determined by the creator of the challenge.

  • The challenge period must be greater than 1 day.
  • All challenges begin and end at 12:00 AM Central Time (Houston, TX, USA) of the specified start date and end date.

Challenge type – Participants can engage in two type of challenges – distance based or calorie based.

  • A distance based challenge must be accompanied with a type of activity (run/walk/hike or bike). Players will be rewarded by the distance they cover in the challenge period doing the set type of activity. Distances must be tracked using the Sentiv app.
  • In a calorie based challenge, players will be rewarded by the calories burned during the set type of activity. Calories burned must be tracked using the Sentiv app.

Activity – An activity is a run/walk/hike or a bike ride. During each activity, Sentiv detects the type of activity the participant is engaging in – running, walking, hiking or biking.

  • For distance based challenges, the challenge creator must set the type of activity before the challenge begins.
  • Only activities that involve the set type of activity are counted towards the challenge.
  • Since Sentiv uses your GPS location to measure distances, only outdoor activities are counted.
  • If players are participating in more than one challenge, new activities will count towards all active challenges (include any CauseFit challenges), as long as the activity type of the challenge matches the type of activity the participant is engaged in.
  • If any driving is detected during an activity, that activity will not count towards any challenge.
  • For calorie based challenges, a walk/run/hike or bike activity tracked through Sentiv will count towards that challenge.

Entry Amount – The entry amount is determined by the challenge creator. Each player in a challenge must pay the entire entry amount to participate in the challenge. Payments can be made using Paypal or a credit card.
Prize – The prize amount refers to the total money available to win in a challenge. Prize = # of players X entry amount.
Prize distribution – The prize distribution is used to determine the reward structure at the end of the challenge.

  • The prize distribution is set by the challenge creator and cannot be changed once a challenge begins.
  • Sentiv will charge a 15% service fee on the total prize amount.
  • The 1st place winner, 2nd place winner, and 3rd place winner will win the % of the prize allocated to those positions respectively after Sentiv’s service fee has been deducted.
  • Prize distribution percentages must add up to 100%.
  • In a given challenge, if there are only two players, the amount allocated to third place is divided between the first and second place players equally.

Rewards – Rewards are deposited in your account after a game ends. Players may request a transfer of any available rewards using Balance>Transfer at any time. Rewards become available within 48 hours of being requested. You cannot have your rewards credited to a credit card.
Refunds – For GroupFit, refunds are determined at the discretion of the challenge creator.

  • Players can request a refund of their entry amount by leaving the GroupFit game. The creator must approve the refund. This is done to ensure challenges are fair for everyone else in the game. If approved by the creator, the entry amount is returned to the player in the balance section and can be redeemed.
  • The challenge period, challenge type, activity, and entry amount cannot be changed once a challenge begins.
  • Once a challenge is created, it cannot be deleted.
